JEN AND TASH
It is that time again...CLIENT OF THE MONTH - OCTOBER!
This months goes to Jen and Natasha who have been working together with Gordon. They have shown commitment and all the hardworking has pulled off. Jen has just come back from representing Scotland at the European Korfball Championships!
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BEST ACHIEVMENT SO FAR?
Tash: My biggest achievement is how far we have come from when we first started to now. I definitely feel a lot stronger and fitter than I have for a long time. I also love that Gordy has helped improved my confidence in the gym especially in the weights area.
Jen: For me it is what the work in the gym has led to outside the gym - playing for the Scotland National Korfball Team and playing in every single minute of our European Championships campaign in October 2018. I would not have physically managed that had I not been pushed and developed the right types of fitness with Gordy in the build up.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST SURPRISE?
Tash: I think my biggest surprise is keeping it up for so long and it doesn't feel like a chore!
Jen: The biggest surprise for me is the fact that I now have motivation to get up out of bed before work to get a workout in - something that if I told myself 2 years ago would be the case, I would have laughed!
YOUR TOP TIP TO OTHERS?
Tash: My top tips for anyone would be find someone who you love working out with. I definitely think that doing PT with Jen is the reason I've stuck with it. It helps with motivation to get to sessions and during as you don't want to let them down.
Jen: Have to agree with Tash! Also getting a PT you enjoy working with has helped massively, from learning what all the equipment does, how you can use it in different ways and being able to seek advice - it gives you confidence in what you are doing in the gym.
European Korfball Championships
Jen: Tash and I both play korfball (Tash is a retired Scotland international). It's a mixed gender sport, with similarities to basketball and netball, originating in The Netherlands. I was part of the Scotland squad that travelled to The Netherlands for the 2018 European Championships. It was a fantastic experience playing top level sport and we did Scotland proud qualifying for the next Championships in 2020. I'm grateful for the time Gordy has spent making our workouts specific and helping me be able to compete to the best of my ability!
